Synthesisable core addresses IEEE1149.7

IPextreme is making available what it says is the industry’s first synthesisable IP core to implement the forthcoming IEEE1149.7 standard. IEEE1149.7 will provide designers with extensions to the current IEEE1149.1 boundary scan standard.
The configurable cJTAG – IEEE 1149.7 IP core – developed by Texas Instruments – is ready to integrate and supports all six classes of the IEEE1149.7 standard. According to IPextreme, the core requires fewer pins, whilst maintaining compatibility with IEEE1149.1 based hardware and software.

The core is supplied with Verilog source code, integration testbench and tests, documentation and scripts for simulation and synthesis, with support for common eda tools.
